Advertiser's banners still not being displayed

Currently vendor banners have still not been re-instated in the following forums...

Alabama S2000 Owners Club
Gateway S2000 Owners
Music City S2000 Owners
Toronto
UK

In this post (dated 20 Nov 2004) cthree said this would be rectified on 01 Dec 2004...

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...dpost&p=4714402

For the benefit of concerned vendors please inform us when we an expect to see our banners re-instated in these forums.

Thanks. :)

My understanding is that banners in Community forums fall under the control of the respective Community Organisers. This is the case for the UK anyway.

So, this we already knew. Is there something you can do to help? Erik commited to fix it back in Nov.

I'm more than happy to let you advertise in the UK forum, not fixed up pricing yet though. email me on my username at s2ki.com and I'll send you details for the UK forum as soon as I have them done :)

Best I can tell, if the CO's add a unique forum banner, it stops all outside banners..If there is a fix for that, lemme know..

I will say though, that its fair to presume that almost all visitors to a community forum venture outside that forum from time to time, so I think you are reaching the full customer base of S2Ki, perhaps not as many impressions per person, but its there for them to see

Except for the UK, in general from my experience. But I have spoken to Muz in PM about UK specific activity. And in the UK forums, our policy is to allow as much posting from site Vendors as they want in the UK For Sale Forum, or on related threads :)

I pay to be here, thereby "carrying my own weight" so to speak. So why should I have to be subjected to ANY advertising banners? I should be able to go to the Marketplace to see vendors offering if I want to.

Regardless, I agree with MUZ.

Do you subscribe to any magazines? There are plenty of mediums that make everyone pay ;)

I was comparing this forum to some of the motorcycle forums that I frequent. :D

You pay up and the ads go away.
