is it possible to do Boolean searches with the new search engine?

I wanted to find info about the Veliside exhaust, so I tried searching for "Veliside AND exhaust" but I got a lot of hits that had one or the other of those terms, but not many with both.

there is a pull down now for boolean searches.

But a Boolean search for "Veliside AND exhaust" only finds this thread! Is that due to the site being only partially indexed? I know there have been several threads on that topic.
