That error means the thread is now in a forum that you don't have access too.

In this case that thread was removed by a moderator because it was deemed a commerical post and was moved to our "Dumpster" which is a special moderator only forum that houses all the bad threads.

Threads aren't deleted, just moved.

Dear Moderators,

I believe this $10 whooperdeedoo commercial product could be a valuable item for our community and I am not too happy that al reference to it has been 'deleted'! How are we supposed to find out about such products and discuss function and effectiveness?

Removal (or make unaccessable) without any indication to people that have posted in the thread seems a bit dictatorial to me!!

Regards,

Siepel

PS: Can anybody let me know the ebay link and userid of that villain seller?

Siepel.. please note the thread was not DELETED... so your statement of ....not too hapy that all reference to it has been deleted.. is not correct.

The moderators are suppose to pm the thread starter about why the thread was moved.

Deleted means, gone, never to be accessed again. Moved, removed the thread was moved to the moderator forum. The best course would be to request a review of the thread in question. The moderators use their best judgement in many cases, it has been seaid before ifyou think a mistake was made, let us know, and we will discuss the issue.

Hello there!

I'm the poster of the original message that you referred to above. I tried to share a great idea and product with the users on the board, but S2KI is too interested in forcing me to pay them money to become a sponsor. I'm not interested in this, so I will no longer be visiting the board. Sombody emailed me and told how there were several post from people who were not happy with the Moderator's decision to move my post, so I came back to read them. I figured I would reply to this one. I work for a phone company and have no plans of becoming an S2000 merchandiser!!!!!!!!! I just thought I would share my idea and cover my cost to develop it. Oh well.....I hate that I even shared info on how I made the product, because now I feel that S2KI will take those ideas and profit from them. I hope you guys are smarter than that.

Happy cruising!!!

Hello there!

Who exactly asked you for money? I'm the only one who asks anyone for money and I haven't talked to you before so could you please tell me exactly it was you were speaking to? Second, you received a PM from a moderator who felt that your post was not in keeping with the commercial posting policy we have. In that PM you were instructed to email me should you have any questions. Clearly you didn't because you didn't send me an email.

One can only assume your post was commercial since you didn't bother to clarify your intent when asked to. We have the owner sponsored Group Buys policy posted on the site in various places. I assume you read it.

No harm done, I just don't plan to continue using your board. It's a great board and community. I hate that you guys have spent so much effort in building such a great site, but refuse to allow someone like me to share my inventions/ideas with other members. I am the same guy who put forth the effort to post "How to lower the driver's seat". I didn't ask anyone for money, just thought I would share. This new idea, cost money to create and distribute, so I decided to recover my costs. Oh by the way. If I can't post my ideas on your site, then please remove "How to lower the driver's seat" from the S2KI Library.

Sincerely,

Greg

Please read the Selling items on S2KI thread pinned to the top of this forum. If you qualify to sell this product under those terms then please send me a PM or email and let me know.

You seem to be stuck on the idea that we won't let you sell you item when in fact there are provisions to allow members to sell owner designed/manufactured products without being a sponsor. This information was in the PM you received and in this forum as well as in the Rules and Regulations section located on the left side of the home page.

The fact is you presumed that we wouldn't let you sell your item based on some assumtion by you that we know who you are and we understand the nature and status of the product you are selling. We in fact told you we didn't think your post qualified as legitimate under the terms and offered you an opportunity to make that known to us. We showed you the commercial posting policy and said if we were wrong please contact us and tell us so. You didn't.

Nobody asked you for money. Nobody told you you couldn't sell your product. Somebody asked you to clarify the status of that product and yourself before you could do so.

The commercial posting policy states:

Owner designed/manufactured Products

I understand your position on this matter. I imagine you get all sorts of attempts to sell on your site, and realize that you have to have some sort of controls in place. Unfortunately for me, I get to get treated as SPAM.
