Hey all, you can now actually see if people are chatting now! On the main forums page at the bottom ther is a list of users currently in chat, and the chat button at the top of everypage has a tooltip that displays how many people are currently chatting. To display the tooltip, just put your cursor on top of the chat button and it should show up.

A few things:

- If it doesn't show up, PM me your OS/browser combination (I need version numbers too). I don't have every combination to test with, hopefully the older browsers show the toolip

- Use chat now!

- I like the additional information, but I'm not sure if it's the best way to do it. A newbie wouldn't ever know to put their mouse over the button and leave it there for a second for the tooltip to show up. I need ideas on better placement for this information. I was thinking maybe changing the color of the text in the chat button when there are people chatting, that way you can't miss it. Thanks for the suggestions...

Post this Chat link on header of every page like it used to be. Hidden on the bottom of the main forum page is it just lost. Took me months to even see it.

I may have confused you. The Chat button on top of every page displays the # of users in chat if you hover your mouse over it. To get the actual list of chatters (by member name), you gotta go to the bottom of the main forums page.

Anyway I thought about moving it to the top, but there is too much going on at the top of every page anyway, I think it would annoy more people than it would help, but that's open to discussion. What about if we add "X users chatting" text to the user bar? Near the PM count/assistant/etc?
