I suppose no one can force you to see the value here, it's your perogative. If I may, lets go through your list.

Strong arm tactics on ads: It's an interesting choice of words, but none the less, if you become a member, they are removed. How does not including them for guest give any incentive to be a member?

S2K Membership card: it does offer discounts, from a very trusted sources for parts, price is one thing, so is service, I can't say Frugal is going to point you to shifty dealers, but I don't mind paying a little more knowing that I'll be taken care of.

Come for the current threads: These are available to anyone, thanks to the support of the people that help pay to keep this site open, if everyone decided that they'll take what they can for free, it won't be long before there is nothing to take.

External hotlinking: Strong arm again? here's a whole bunch of services, take em, want a free gas card too? bandwidth cost's money, money that doesn't grow on trees sadly

S2Ki Email: another additional service, which to the best of my knowledge is completely secure.. want that for free too?

Content has to get better: Which content are you refering? more stuff offered for your money, or information available on this site?

This site offers, with out a doubt the most complete history of information available on the S2000 anywhere in the world, it's all there for everyone to see.

Think hard about some of the things you've learned on this site, you telling me that there wasn't at least one thing that didn't save you 20 bucks somewhere during the year? there wasn't one meet, or group buy, or question you wanted answered that wasn't worth 20 bucks for an entire year of use on this forum?

I can't comment on your last post, but I have a feeling that if I ask the guy at the convience store how much he's pulling in a year, I doubt he'll tell me.

$20 coming your way for the information this site has provided over the last year. Maybe I'll have more voice if I'm a paying member.

Top ten things that need improvement IMO. (in no specific order)

1. Search of course. It works for me but not for your average s2ki user.
2. Delete or archive old threads that have no useful info.
3. Moderators need to be a little more strict on content. Auto delete threads of lazy people who do not search.
4. Same content over and over and over again. Just delete it.
5. No ads, if people don't click them what's the point?
6. Poll the members for opinions on matters that affect the site.
7. Eliminate haggling in for sale threads, post a price. Also do not allow "i'm thinking of selling, testing waters" crap
8. Signatures are out of control, they cheapen the site. (I know you can ignore)
9. Don't make open ended promises, if you say your going to do something do it.
(Sorry Marine mentalitiy)
10. S2ki marketplace, either offer competitive prices or shut it down. It's insulting!

p.s. Mindcore, I'm not saying the email system is unsecure externally. More of a trust issue on the inside, I don't know who has access to email from the inside.

Thanks for the list. Your suggestions seem obvious but there are political consequences for everything. I'm sure there are a lot of people who think they can do a better job and that's fine but the devil is in the details. There are a lot of people to deal with and a lot of different opinions and voices. Objects in mirror may be closer than they appear.

I will defer to your item #9 and just say thanks
