picture post question
I have a question when it comes to posting a picture. How do you do it? when I try to insert image, it ask for a "URL" whats that?. I have a great pic of my car , but I am not very good with a computer. I need a 13year old to help me.
Become a member of S2KI, support the site and use our member photo albums or signup and use a photo publishing service like photobucket, picasa or flickr. Upload the photo there and you will get a URL for the image you can paste into your posts here or anywhere else.
If I wasn,t so determined to post a picture I would have giving up 2 hours ago. I have a picture uploaded to photo bucket, but I dont know what to do now.
Can someone give me step by step instructions of how to post a picture, keeping in mind, I am the same age as your Dad.

Ok, I'll try. In Photobucket, if you see a line underneath or off to the side of your photo that says "IMG code," click the text immediately to the right of it (that's the image code, it should start out as [ IMG ]http:\\... except without the spaces). When you click on it, it should say "Copied" which tells you that it automatically copied the code to your clipboard. If not, make sure the image code is selected/highlighted and do a Ctrl+C with your keyboard (that's the manual way of copying stuff to your clipboard). Then navigate to your draft post here on S2KI and do a Ctrl+V with your keyboard or right-click and select Paste. Here's a decent walkthrough of that...
Hope that made sense.

If for whatever reason you can't get the image code, but you can get the image's URL, you can go this route: Look for the little "Insert image" icon above the box where you type your text. Click that and paste your image's URL (Ctrl+V) into the little box that pops up. Basically what that does is simply put an [ IMG ] tag before the URL and a [ /IMG ] tag after it which completes the image code.Hope that made sense.
