Oh Good Lord,,, you'd think that you would have a kink in your neck from blowing yourself so often.

The only person to blame would be yourself for not moderating your own forum

I have edited the post. I hadn't noticed that post before. I sure as hell don't read every post and that is why forums have moderators. It's YOUR job to moderate the s2kca forum. If you like your organization can appoint someone else to do it.

gregstevens Feb 21, 2002 11:15 AM

What kind of hell would I have gone through had *I* edited a post that *I* didn't like about me? That's the whole reason why I reported it to the moderators. I would look like a (bigger) tool if I had done it...

Just not a cool situation...

And I have also become disturbed by other outright deletions of a post of mine...that's another issue. But the moderation lately seems rather selective and quite lax...

I'm not to blame here...the post was reported and you guys didn't act upon it...end of story.

Strike Feb 21, 2002 11:18 AM

Greg,

If you feel there is a conflict of interest you should step down as moderator of that forum. It's not the board's job to police a forum you asked to moderate.

Yes exactly what strike said. I never got a reported e-mail from you. If I had saw it I would have done something about it.

I am sorry you feel spited here, but s2kca forum is YOUR sandbox. If you feel the moderation is lax in your forum there is no one to blame but yourself.

Your thread was supposed to be moved not deleted, and I have apologized to that error. It's not like the thread had any content that was lost. It was just a pointer thread.

Our moderators do a great job in their forums.

I'm not going to belabor the point...I have made my case. You may like it or not, but that's how I see it.

While it should have happened when I reported the post, but thanks for editing it.

Luder is a fine choice to replace me...this acts as my approval. Whatever you need to do to make the change, please do so...and thanks, Luder.

:)

Blaming the board for not moderating a forum that you are the moderator of is just funny to even think about. But let's look a little closer shall we? First of all, as the moderator of that forum you are the "first line of defense" against inappropriate material. If you thought there was a conflict, which appears to be your reasoning for not taking care of this issue yourself, you could have posted to the mods forum and asked someone to take care of it. That's what most of the moderators do when we see something in another forum that is inappropriate. You see, we don't have the ability to do anything except in the forum assigned to us. I assume that when you say you reported this to the "moderators" what you really mean is you PM'ed one person. If that's the case you MIGHT have a gripe with that one person although I would argue that even that is debatable. I don't know how you can indict the whole board for one person's alleged oversight. Again, it seems like you are constantly biting the hand that feeds you by bitching about a group of people that have been nice enough to allow you to promote S2KCA endlessly and host your website for free.
