Default Web Pop-up problems

Does anyone else have problems with spurious pop-ups claiming virus infection, out of date security cover, etc, etc when opening topics in this forum? This happens frequently for me, and they're the type of pop-ups that don't close easily, and then reappear. It doesn't occur with any other web-sites that I visit, so I'm assuming there's a glitch somewhere in the S2KI system.
Webmaster, can you check please?

What browser are you using?
Probably in the past you have allowed popups for the s2ki site - you will just need remove s2ki from the whitelist of the pop up blocker.
This is for Chrome.

Internet Explorer 11, and pop ups are blocked. What happens is that when I open a topic, a spurious site opens instead of the chosen S2KI page.

Defiantly a browser problem not a site issue. Check the level of blocking you have set go to internet options, pop up blocking settings, pop up level, it usually defaults to a trusted site setting, Switch it to the most aggressive setting. clear all your browser history then run a cleaner program like CCleaner. This is typical malware activity and is usually a cookie possibly a virus, try downloading Malwerebytes and running that, after you are rid of it you can reset your preferences.

As this problem only occurs when accessing S2KI forum, and not from any of the countless other web sites I frequently visit, it's hard to accept that it has nothing to do with the forum.

That's the nature of some malware it attached it's self to the HTTP of site you were visiting when it became active. No one else seems to have reported this, ego it's NOT the site. It's on your PC.

I get these popups occasionally on my phone, it's an android and I'm using chrome for my browser. Otherwise the site is fine on my PC.

Hard to put Adblock Plus on a phone. I've not seen a pop up here ever that I can recall.
