I got an email from Webmaster@s2000online.com entitled The Garden of Eden, it's 132K with no attachment. Is this a virus?

 

I put my money on it being a virus. Actually, it probably a worm reading your mail folders.

EVERY windows system needs virus protection! Use Norton or McAfee but use something! It's not an option, it's critical!

 

I've heard Norton can be very annoying!

 

I haven't used norton in years. I use the McAfee VirusScan Online and have few complaints. Kept me virus free for 2 years

 

We use Norton here at work. It functions just fine. What IS annoying is the whole Norton System Works package. It's can cause issues.

 

I actually have Norton, and these emails are coming frequently now, from people that I know but they aren't sending them. It says right on the email {VIRUS?} then the title. Suck, how the hell did I get on this list? Grrrrrrrrr

 

I've been thinking about this a little. The emails themselves come from databases that would have my email addy, like this site's Webmaster, or the sales dept at my local Honda dealer, but are not coming from the channel I use. If I get an email from S2Ki it's from HondaGal, not from the Webmaster. If I get an email from Honda it's from the owner, not the sales dept. Weird.

 

I get a lot of these emails as well... I have done the virus scan but nothing comes up. Note, I too get emails from webmaster@.. hmm

 

we actually send out a lot of emails. All those subscribed threads. Someone who has received an email from our system and corresponded with you directly has a virus.

 

Hmmm... As long as I don't get it, that's all I'm worried about.
