Today I finished my dual Supertrapp install https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...875#post1487875
and thus have no need for the single Supertrapp muffler I have been running for the past week. I want to be clear on this issue. You probably would not want this muffler as an everyday setup because it is loud. I'm not sure how loud because I didn't use my decimeter to measure it before going back to the polished SS 'trapps but it IS a tad bit more than the Tanabe I had. I am selling this two-piece exhaust for someone who races the car and wants something that can be put on fairly easy for race day. The gains I noted with this exhaust are explained in the link below but they are definitely significant. The total weight of this two-piece exhaust section is around 13-lbs!!! You would need to connect it to the mid-section pipe which is the host section for the two mufflers on most aftermarket OEM systems. The photos in the link below should give you an idea of how you could incorporate this muffler for your race ready S2000. I will offer the pipe, the muffler (again, two-piece) with all 12 discs but you will want to run
this without the discs for the juice to be realized. The ONLY reason I decided NOT to use this exhaust as my daily driver (the gains were so addictive) was Supertrapp sent me two polished mufflers so I decided to go with a twin setup since they gave 'em to me for free. You would NOT want to run the end cap with this type of muffler which is why I am offering it up as a race muffler. The muffler alone has less than 25 miles on it and cost me $125. I'm selling this entire set-up (muffler, piping) for $80 plus shipping/handling (box, peanuts).
Again, it COULD be used as a daily single exhaust system but probably is too loud for all but the most insane person (people like me).
Otherwise, this is a weekend catback. Again, it's a two-piece muffler with the muffler itself and the connecting section which lines up with your mid-section pipe. Depending on the type of aftermarket catback you have, you will have to adjust as necessary but for the most part, everything you need is here with the exception of some fine tuning for your specific mid-section you are running now. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...threadid=111215
Just took this picture to help guys visualize what the hell I'm selling. It's a straighter flow path than shown because the connectors aren't lined up but you get the idea.
I am a verified paypal user for sure but to answer the last question, I see no reason why this shouldn't work with the OEM muffler but you'd need to begin the new pipe forward of the junction point which splits the two OEM mufflers. Cut out that section, remove it and connect a new pipe from that cut off point and snake it towards the right rear fascia cutout where it would attach to the Supertrapp. Sounds quite simple and any muffler shop would be able to do this. I'm not so sure the pipe I am including in this would work though, because it was created using the Tanabe as a guide point so I would sell you the muffler for $75 plus shipping and it shouldn't cost you but $15-20 for the additional pipe you would need to connect it to the OEM section left unaltered. In essence, you would have a very lightweight single exhaust. Bear in mind, you will NOT want to use the end cap with this muffler, rather keep it just as it is seen above. This way, the gases exit straight out. I ran with this set-up for a week and had no further problems which were initially created by putting the end cap on and forcing the gases up radially which is why they came into contact with the fascia. Without the end cap, it acts like a regular muffler so the gases aren't a problem. More horsepower running as a straight thru. Send me your e-mail and I can give you a 5-second wav. file of what it sounds like.
Note: Upon glancing at a pic I have of the OEM muffler (laid out on the floor) I believe the piping above would work but it depends on WHERE your muffler shop cuts out the section forward of the point in which the two pipes snake out as two mufflers. At best, he might not need to cut anything, at worst, he might take an inch or two or ADD an inch or two to the section above. I think you're looking at 30 minutes of work and no more.
i like i like.....but i am still shaky about the install... i want to be able to swap the OEM exhaust anf the supertrapp back and forth whenever i want to... can i do that with all the modifications that u are tellin me to do?
