Not very good customer service, non functional hood, and the air might get trapped in the engine bay, creating a imbalance in your car, hence accident.

Last time I talked with Boomer on this he said they had to fire the folks who sent them the first batch of fiberglass hoods because one of them cracked upon only a slight amount of pressure. The newbie manufacturers apparently have MUCH better quality control but obviously another delay has arisen from the switch. As for the additional wind entering the engine bay, I would assume the wind would seek the quickest path of escape (bottom of car) and at that point, I'm not sure how much of the handling would be affected by it. It's probably a safe bet that one would have to be going at least in the triple digits for anything to be noticed at all and I think at that point, you might find the car experiencing some "lift" from the wind barreling down into the bottom of the car. It's all speculation though. Maybe if the entrance was sealed off, there wouldn't be a problem at all (other than increased drag). Either that or find a way to route the air from the inlet directly into a hose of some kind that would snake its way into my PRM. That would rule!
