Wow! An amazing playlist! Had I been a bit younger, without a family, time off from my job, financially free, and could afford the travel expenses from Colorado, I would have been there! Really...I would have!

I had a reproduction of the original Woodstock poster hanging in my office. I was always amazed at the talent that played there.

Some of my friends did attend, some tried to but never quite made it up on the NY Thruway. I was in college in New York City and working weekends. I couldn't go because I had to work. I don't think anyone ever imagined that it would turn out as it did.

My parents wouldn't let me!
Several of my slightly older friends did attend.

I got stuck on the Thruway. I was headed to Vermont and decided I'd visit some friends in NY that week. I picked the wrong weekend.

When Woodstock happened I was somewhere in the central highlands of Vietnam. There's a lot of bands I listened to when I got back.
I have most of them on my pandora playlist but I've spotted a few I'm adding.
Thanks for posting it

Nice find, So, they were almost exactly 24 hours behind schedule when Hendrix wrapped things up. Lot of folks who had to be back to work or school on Monday missed a classic performance.

Amazing how many of those artists are still alive and kicking. I saw John Fogerty just a couple months ago at New Orleans Jazz Fest. He's still got it.

I was attending tech school at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX.

When Woodstock happened, I was just short of 2 years old (born just after the Summer of Love). I remember bits of it on the CBS Nightly News (thanks Cronkite).

Saw a thing on 60 Minutes a few weeks ago, where a sound engineer found all the original Woodstock tapes and digitally remastered EVERYTHING, including all the dead spaces between bands. I think it's now available for download from your favorite service.
