R.I.P. Peter Fonda
I think his movie, Easy Rider, moved an entire generation of us.
Peter Fonda, rest in peace.

Spring Break from Drake University took myself and 3 others (football guy, young woman, and the owner of the 64 Barracuda who resembled Jesus) from Iowa to Winter Haven Florida. Running low on gas in the middle of nowhere Georgia made us park at 0300 am and wait for the local gas station to open. As the non-speaking teenager filled us up, the grizzled old man with watery blue eyes viewed us with hatred and said "Give em enough gas tah git outtah town."
Easy Rider was fresh on my mind and we said "keep the change!" and drove like our lives depended on it!

I took a date to watch Easy Rider at the Sunrise Drive-in in Valley Stream, NY in my 1963 VW Bug. Funny, but I don't remember hardly anything about the movie with the exception of them being shot at the end. Timing is everything!
