Default RIP Rick ocasek

I was very disappointed to hear the news that Rick Ocasek was found in Manhattan condo.
Back during my HiFi retail days I met Rick on many occasions in our store.
Always a super pleasant guy. Occasionally I even set up equipment in his Waban home.
Very modest for his level of Fame.

Excuse me now, I have to go play Candy-o!!

oh no, so much bad news in one week with Eddie Money and now Rick. I loved The Cars growing up, had all of their music, they had the best lyrics even though I didn't always understand their meaning, lol, they just stuck with you. RIP RIck.

I loved listening to The Cars and Eddie Money!

I was at Kennedy Meadows, CA where I have no internet or cellphone coverage. Leave it to a quick visit to vintage once I'm back home to find out who died while I was gone or catastrophes that have happened.

Cars' Greatest Hits are spining. Couldn't decide between Candy-O and Heatbeat City (80s kid)

I feel like I'm one of the few on the planet that never heard of him, the band, or any of the songs. Guess I wasn't watching a lot of tv in those days.

Different generations is all. Your music was not part of my life, either Dave. I was born in 1958.

I love almost every song they created, one of my all-time favourite albums was The Cars by The Cars. It just didn't get much better than that when I was growing up.
