Default Fabric protection

We just purchased a new sofa and the store we bought it from offered us factory fabric protection for $249.00 which we declined. I think this is the typical ripoff addition they add on like when you buy most products. I use Scotchgard on our outdoor furniture cushions and it works. Are there any other recommendations out there for fabric protection.

My go to is also Scotchgard. I agree that it's a huge ripoff.

I don't remember how much the fabric protection added to our recent furniture purchase (two chairs), or the previous purchase, (couch and sofa) but I'm pretty sure I purchased the fabric protection. It's not like I was about to go around spraying the furniture myself...I don't think it was that expensive, but I do think it was overpriced.

I found a 5 star rated (883 reviews) product on line. Spray it on and forget it. $14.99 is a no brainer compared to $250. I ordered 3 that I can use on other furniture.

So did my mother-in-law. Only problem is I might slide off when I take a nap.

Stain Guard. It was actually 4-3/4 stars. 16.97 for 16 oz.
