Default Storing your car for winter? You need this!

Are you storing a vehicle for the winter, or perhaps a boat? If so, how about purchasing one of these? Saw this on the FB page of the Porshe group. Seriously??

We have not been active with the P car group With the S2000 group, we all have the same car, there isn't a top of the line and the bottom of the line. Sure some folks have done lot of mods, but we still have the same car. What folks did for a living never mattered, and generally speaking, one's occupation just came up here and there. Yes, we were from all walks of life and some are better off than others, BUT it's not flaunted in any way. The P car group was looking to get more involvement from the average Joes and Janes, who may have a P car, (that would be us). However, the events they have hosted are expensive as hell, and the connection we feel with the S2000 folks just isn't there. We've been told that there are P car members who are very much like S2000 members, but Rick doesn't have interest.. And then you see how some store their vehicles? LOL...not for average Joe. Hell we don't even have a garage.

I used a car capsule for years for winter storage. It provides some protection from knocks, and keeps your car dry and dust free. It is a bit of a pain when you want to access the car. When you open the zipper enough to get in the capsule deflates. You have to crawl in, zip it up and wait till it inflates again. Doesn't take long however, and it's not like you are doing it all the time. This fall I finally have the garage space to use my showcase that I bought several years ago. It is the one in the picture with the black inflated tubes. These allow you to drive your car in and out without the capsule deflating. It also has access doors on each side that can be unzipped. It works very well. And you can put lowly Hondas in it, not just glorified VWs.

Come on Lainey, suck it up. . . for $600 this could be in your yard. Shelter Logic at Menards... where most classic car guys shop on a limited budget.

^ PS: you tell the neighbor's before putting it up that is just temporary till your contractor can find the time to put up a permanent garage.
