Default Black Friday Sales

Did you spend money to save money? Did you go to a local store or shop online? I normally do not spend a dime over this wonderful shopping weekend. I never check the ads online or in the paper. If I do buy its only because I planned to buy it anyways. This year I ordered printer ink (18% off & free shipping) and a set of tires (saved $120). That's it.

Well last week I ordered three pair of sneakers and Rick got underwear.....And it wasn't even Black Friday.

The sneaker order was a bit of an error, I put two pair of one style of sneakers in the cart vs one, but I'll keep both pair, along with the different style I ordered. Purchased on Amazon and one stye was on sale. You never know when they will discontinue a favorite style.

Actually, we took advantage of the sale pricing on sneakers for Rick too and saved about $30.00. I felt bad that all he was getting was underwear. I also ordered a few presents for my great niece from Target, the prices were good shipping was free.

Sears had quite the sale on Craftsman tools. I spent a couple of bills getting my son a nice selection for Christmas. I picked up a few tools, trailer parts and supplies at Harbor Freight for myself. This past week I combed through a bunch of boating and fishing web sites looking for "great deals". Nothing was discounted deeply enough to make me buy. One exception; I was out of town on "black" Friday, so I could not take advantage of the $9.99 jeans at Bass Pro Shop. If I had been in town I would have bought two or three pair.

It was Cider Monday at some local shops here in Vermont where local shops give out free cider to people who shop locally.

Yes, I took advantage of pre Black Friday sales. I did it all online. I bought bras from Kohl's that are normally priced at $44 but I paid $11.89. Today I bought a canvas for my bedroom that was 65% off.

We ordered a small table for our new home online. Saved 50% and free shipping. My wife bought some clothes for my son-in-law for Xmas yesterday as the outlets here extended their Black Friday sales. She saved 75% at Tommy Bahama and used a complimentary TB gift card. I got a good deal on a gun range bag now that I have taken up shooting again.
