Has anyone ever gone on a Road Scholar trip?

If so, can you tell me what you like and do not like about the programs?

Sue, Bea took her grand-son on one of their tours to the Southwest US several years ago, and said if was pretty good. I will have to ask her the details, but all I know is we are deluged now with their brochures and catalogs. I think it is geared more to trips like she took, with grandkids along.

Thanks, Gene.

I know that they do have many trips for grandparents and grandkids, but there are many many other trips available, too.

I have a friend from my exercise classes, and she and her husband just completed their 5th Road Scholar trip. I think that all of the ones that they went on were centered around photography. This last one that they went on was in New Mexico.

Road Scholar? Rode Scholar? Rhode Scholar?

Must be confusing this with a Rhodes scholar is someone who has been awarded a Rhodes scholarship. The world's oldest fellowship program, Rhodes scholarships provide students with two years of study (with an option for a third) at Oxford University in England.

We have not been on one but we have heard that they are education based with lectures and other information built into the tour.

I am not confused at all about the Road Scholar program.

I am not referring to a Rhodes Scholar who has been awarded a Rhodes Scholarship.

Did you read my post and look at the link that I provided in my first post?

I will post the link again. Here is a link to the Road Scholar program.

You might want to look at the link and read about the program. You might find it interesting and learn something new.

Thanks, Scooots.

Yes, you are exactly right.

From the website:

Welcome to a university of the world

Inspiring instructors, spirited conversations, new friends, new experiences — being a Road Scholar encompasses the best of the university experience.
I think that the programs sound interesting and something that my husband would enjoy.

I was just wondering if anyone had ever gone on any of these trips and could share their experience with me.

You obviously are unfamiliar with the strange and mysterious things that go on inside my head, Ray.
