[I]Davidson shows the way in Shanghai
Chinese GP - Second practice
Anthony Davidson was once again the man to beat this afternoon in Shanghai. The BAR Honda test driver recorded a best lap of 1:33.289s, a full nine-tenths of a second faster than his nearest rival Jenson Button in the sister BAR.
Davidson suffered an off-track moment early in the session, but was soon back on-track. The English driver

What? I'm not sure why you're so happy.
Renault are not looking good and BAR are. Practice doesn't mean a lot but it usually reflects how fast the car can be. ie. if a team is doing quite well, they have a good platform to work from to improve.
Davidson is quite obviously running light and Button is on form.
I think the Maclarens will have a good weekend, especially Kimi.

I'm happy because Honda continues to blow up so they are not making progress, oh what a surprise.
Practice is practice, I don't agree with you at all. You can learn almost nothing from practice because you have no clue as to what the teams is working on or testing. Hell they could be out scrubbing in tires and intentionally going slow. You cannot assume every time the cars go out on the track their objective is to go as fast as possible.
Like I said in the other thread, a perfect example of this is Michael in 8th. You really think he/Ferrari is that slow?
That is the funniest thing I have read so far today...

If you go back to every single grand prix this year and see their practice times and check their final qualifying times, there is a clear correlation. Ferrari is certainly an exception, i must admit. This is not to say practice is crucial or signifies who's the fastest, but it does give you a good indication of who's fast and who needs to catch up, especially free practice 2.
Need i remind you about my theories back in February when i said BAR would be fast due to winter testing and you said it was jsut testing...

Sato's driving...You would think in these days of high tech/high cost F1, BAR could afford to screw a 2x4 on the bottom of his gas pedal so he could not push it down too far.
