It cant be true that I need to pull off the entire door panel and unhook all the electronics for the windows can it?

Yes, you need to remove the entire door panel, including the window controls.
Don't worry the its only a connector or 2....
BTW, you may also need to make a speaker adapotor depending on the size of your door speakers....
Oh and while you have everything apart...run rear speaker wires even if your not installing them...

I am going to put rear speakers in also, but another day. Why would I run those wires now though? I dont have any aspirations of rewiring the front speakers, just want to hook them up to the existing wires...
And the new front speakers are 10 inches. They'll work right?
Actually, they're 6 inch. Hopefully theyll fit just fine.

Well, it's really up to you but since you know your going to install rear speakers, why would you want to remove the headunit again to run rear speaker wire? You already have to do all this work now...
Oh and don't forget to wire up your antenna pre-amp...many people forget about that then they have crappy am/fm reception...
