What car do you wish you still had?
I bet most of us have had a car that we wish we still had. Maybe it's something that would be worth a fortune today or something that had sentimental value.
What was yours and why do you wish you still had it?

Don't laugh! The dealership Rick works for sold them and we bought a 1979 Renault LeCar. It was black with red. It was a "sporty" edition, with neat looking wheels, and it had a really large canvas sun roof. That car was fun to drive, and had more interior room that you would think looking at it.
It was the first front wheel drive car we had and it was great in the snow. It also got 39 mpg on the highway on a trip to Maine.
It would fall in the "cute car" category. Not for everyone, but I liked it, even though it spent a fair amount of time in the shop.

1973 Mercury Capri 2600 V6. Very cool car. And then there is the 79 Prelude, which I bought new, my first Honda. Oh, and then there is the 94 Legend GS, my second most favorite car that I have owned, after the S of course.
I've loved all of my previous five Honda's but the one I really liked best (besides the S2000s) was the 1991 Accord EX wagon. I'm not saying I would want it back but it was a fun-to-drive, 5-speed in a nice greenish-blue (Hampshire Green Metallic) and had a whooping 140 horsepower. My kids' car seats fit fine and I could take my doggy Kyras with us in the back.

Mine had the 4 on the floor, it was dark green, black vinyl top with a metal hand crank sunroof and a tan vinyl interior. That little sucker was fast!
I was in high school at the time and I blew the nylon gears that were pressed into the timing wheels. My grandfather who used to build race motors got me a set of solid aluminum competition gears and we replaced them together one weekend. I'll never forget my Mother's face when she walked in and caught gramps (her dad) and me in the kitchen, we had an old pan filled with oil on the stove with the gears in it because gramps wanted to heat up the gears in oil before we did the install.

As much as I loved that Capri, that is not the car I would take back. I would take back my yellow with black strips, 1973 AMC Gremlin-X. Mine had the big 258 ci. straight 6 with a 3 on the floor. The car had several options including the very cool Levi interior. I loved that car then, and I sure as heck miss it now. In fact on Sundays when I go down to see my parents I drive by the junkyard where it was finally towed to when I could no longer justify putting more money into the brakes. I can't tell you how many times I have thought about stopping to see if it is still there. It would be a blast to restore someday!

I'll probably wish I still had my X1/9s someday. Sold them to finance the S.
