Chicago vs. Iraq Murder Rates - Recapitulation
Here in Chicago, they are celebrating a reduction of the murder rate to 450 murders in 2004 for a population of 2.8 million! Since Iraq has about 25 million people, at the same per capita rate, they would have 11 murders per day. It seems nearly every murder in Iraq makes the news!

So Chicago is as bad as Iraq and needs military intervention?

Or Iraq is as good as Chicago and we should get out of Iraq because it's no worse than Chicago?

 

Hmmm....Chicago is a city while Iraq is a diverse country with cities, towns, undeveloped areas.

What happens to your 'comps' if you recalibrate for...say... the state of Illinois Or almost any state of your choosing?

 

Would it make more sense to you if Iraq was distilled to Bagdhad, with 5 million people? Only seems to make the argument stronger...

 

But what conclusions do you expect us to draw? I don't understand the point of it. Iraq ain't bad, it's only the liberal press that makes it appear so?

Can you imagine how long 60 new Pontiacs would last in the projects in Chicago? How many do you suppose would be left at the end of the show...?

 

So our state dept says I can vacation in Baghdad now?

Honestly, I still don't understand. If things are so great, let's get the Hell out. Go straighten out Chicago.
