Default I shot an eagle today!

OK... some things you HAVE to brag about. (I have witnesses!!!)

At the par 5 first hole at Las Robles Golf Course today, (playing from the blue tees) I delighted the other members of my foursome by slicing my opening drive wide right. I fortunately made a very nice recovery on the second shot to leave the ball in the middle of the fairway about 140 yds. from the green. My third shot landed about five feet from the cup and rolled in.

I'll most likely never do anything like that again, but it certainly was sweet.

Sometimes... life is particularly good.

so you celebrated by killing a bird of prey?! was it in a tree, or did you give it a sporting chance by waiting for it to take flight?

When I play golf, NOTHING in the trees is safe!

Dean,

Congratulations.

Still, as far as golf goes, I agree with the quote, "Golf is a nice walk, ruined."

*no wildlife were harmed in the performance of this miracle.

BTW, I've taken it as a divine message that my hometown Eagles will win the Super Bowl today. I'd place a huge bet, but there's GOT to be some kind of biblical regulation prohibiting profiting by divine intervention, and I don't want to tick off the constable.

An Eagles victory will be quite sufficient.

The Patriots dynasty ends today.

Congrats! Sorry (not really) that it didn't help your guys win the Superbowl!

No golf here...but I have been known to shoot the bird from time to time

Yo Chie, did you do the curled arm pump and leg hike/kick when it happened and say "yes?" I'll be looking for you on the PGA tours next year if you keep that up.
