I know I've been scarce lately - I really miss all of you, but the past weeks have been horribly busy. Today the family and I are leaving for warmer climates - visiting Virginija's parents in Melbourne, Australia. The weeks leading up to this have been simply hellish at work, and preparing for this trip with a 2-year-old has been a challenge.

We're staying tonight in L.A. with Virginija's brother, to ease the travel pains with poor little Anika. We've already shifted her to an hour or two west of Pacific time (she woke up at noon today after a 2am bedtime last night!) so that should help, but both Virginija and I are 4 nights short on sleep.

Then, Saturday evening we depart for Melbourne. We'll be back Mar 11th.

I'm taking my laptop, so I may be online a bit while there, but it will only be through dialup, so who knows how often I'll post!

Keep it together while I'm gone (I doubt that will be a problem)!

Jonas - Just remember, it's illegal in the U.S. to kill a child That's a difficult age to travel with - especially such a long distance - but she may surprise you and sleep much of the way. Hope you have an absolutely wonderful and safe trip.

 

We've missed you out here! Have a wonderful time. Wow...a whole month away. I was just in the other Melbourne last weekend (FL that is). Wish I were going to the Aussie one. Enjoy...

Australia is great - I'm sure you guys will have a wonderful time. You'll come back talking about Aussie rules football (footie) and saying "no worries, mate". Actually I was supposed to go to Melbourne and then on to Perth at the end of this month (on business) but the trip fell through - .

My last trip, I came back with about 10 bottles of great Rutherglen fortified wines (yum).

You should post in the Aus forum that you're coming. The Melbourne guys always show me a good time when I'm down there and that's only 900Km away.
