I got a BIG one a while back but luckily for me the trooper knocked it waaaaaaay down. It ended up being an 82 (I think somewhere in the eighties) in a 55. Cost me close to three hundred dollars.

I barely even made it on to your list of choices. I did get an 80 in a 65 zone ticket once.

I think I may hold some sort of record for the lowest offending speed / legal speed ratio ever ticketed. An Irvine, CA cop must have been bored one day. He pulled over a line of 4 cars, and went down the line citing us all for 60 in a 55 zone. The clerk at the courthouse said she had never seen such a low fine before.

You are lucky. A former coworker had a 1st year NSX. He was stopped for doing something in the 110-120 range on the freeway. They called it reckless driving. He got to spend 4 weekends in the Riverside county jail.

i did get really lucky, the cop could have very easly hauled my ass in jail for 120 but thank god that by time i passed him i was alredy slowing down to 110,thats why i dont do triple digets anymore its not worth it, the funny thing about reackless driving it's up to the cops descretion.if i would have been speeding like this through traffic then i would have went to jail.

Dare I say it... I've never gotten a ticket in an S2000.

March 24, 1986
The highest speed written on a ticket was 73 mph in a 55 zone, in my '82 Prelude. When I got this one I thought I had it made. I saw the Calif. Hwy. Patrol up ahead and slowed down. Thing is, there was a airplane clocking the freeway so that was how they nailed me.

Oct. 28, 1995
I was going the fastest though in my '91 Honda Accord Wagon. It was close to 90 mph, but the cop only wrote it for 65 mph in a 55 zone. He was going the opposite direction on a two-lane road. He went by and hit the brakes so I just pulled over before he even turned his red light on. My son was sucking his thumb with his blanket in the front seat and made the cop smile.

No jail. Actually never went on my record. I got stopped one other time for going 115 mph and the officer was kind enough to knock my ticket down to '95+ in a 65 zone'....I was honest with the officer and told him there was no reason for me to be driving that fast other than wanting to get home quickly (I was a long way from home). He appreciated my honesty and the fact that I pulled over when I passed him and saw his lights on...he said he really did not want to chase me and liked that I pulled over immediately.

UMM....hello...you have no category for my ticketed speed. I got my first ticket at age 34 and my other one at 38. Both where 78 in a 65.

Yes.....they ticket you for that here in North-East Wisconsin.

I remember some poor comedian running through his standard "jokes". Joke was something along the line about driving to Green Bay and the highway being more like a raceway. I was with 6 others, we all looked at each other and said..."Ahhh no". I mean if you drive 80 up here in the 65, you will be passed about once a month (maybe). I know this for a definite FACT, because I am the one driving 80. I have sped all my driving life and have never owned a radar detector. I have dozens of warnings, dozens of dirty looks by policemen with dead-to-right radar guns pointing at me, but only 2 tickets.
