Default Congratulations to our new co-CO

I want to personally welcome Legal Bill as co-CO of Vintage and CO of the Politics subforum. He will be posting some comments himself, I'm sure, but I know we are all very happy to have him assume a leadership role in the forum. And a final thank you to Chaz. to them both!!

Firstly, Thank you, Chaz for being our CO. I appreciate the time you spent doing it, and the way you handled Vintage. I think you did a superb job and I loved your way of handling situations.

Secondly, Thank you, Bill, for stepping forward to take on the new job of Political Sub Forum CO and the job of Deb's co CO. I appreciate you volunteering for the positions. I know you will be fantastic in these positions.

Chaz, thanks for all your hard work here and the hard times you had to endure. I do hope we will still see you here as a frequent contributor.

I look forward to working with Deb as co-COs, and I plan to use my considerable powers of pursuasion and devilish good looks to keep her here as CO. Yes, I know, if that's all I have to offer, things don't look too promising. Well, I am very good at begging, so if it comes to that...

One other thing. I am cluless with respect to computers so if I delete your thread, or move it to the corner over the next few days, please bear with me.

Thanks to all of you for all your good words and support this week.

Bill

Hi Bill,

Congratulations on your new position as C.O. of Vintage. Thank you for "stepping up to the plate, so to speak". Of course you know that this has nothing to do with the Red Sox or the Yankees! ;-)

I will try my best to help make your tenure a bit less taxing, as I have changed my habits here as well. I have come to realize that being factual is not all that important here, what is, is all about perception and how some people feel about things. When it involves either current events or historical facts, it is apparent that it is about how people feel about it not what people think about it based on facts.

With that stated: I will no longer "call people on the carpet", about factual events that happened over thirty years ago. It is just NOT worth the grief, to be factually correct. As that does not seem to matter with many people here?

So, as several people have pointed out that it is not likely that anyone's mind will be changed here based on their perception of reality. I will no longer post my opinions based on reality, and based on the facts. It just raises my blood pressure, and seems to irritate people here.

Thank you for stepping up to the plate and I wish you well in your tenure as the new C.O.

Best regards,
Matt

P.S. Thank you Chazmo for your tenure.

Add me to the list of well wishers. Thank you Chaz for your long-suffering service and LB, you know your G-rod will have your back if you need it. There are those of us who love this place and the people in it come hell or high water so jump in with both feet, get 'em wet and let's continue to have a ball with our cyberfamily, old and new.

And what's this about Matt mellowing and changing his tactics?? Wonders really will never cease.
