Default Another great Honda ad

Here's a link which inturn takes you to a couple other links. The first is the 2 min ad. The other link takes some playing around to end up in the right place and once there there are all sorts of links and sub-links that go into more depth on Honda's history - monkey bikes, actual scenes from the RA272 F1 win, etc. Allow some time to enjoy all the history.

Isn't it odd to think that, with a few notable exceptions, today's Hondas and Acuras are merely the logical extensions of the design of the 1973 Honda Civic CVCC.

The revolutionary CVCC engine was designed as a direct challenge to the big, gas-guzzling cars Detroit was still churning out. Seemingly overnight, the Honda Civic and Accord became the cars of choice for millions of middle-class Americans. But what really appeared to gall Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler -- and to eventually cause a backlash against Japanese investment in the U.S. -- was that in 1982 Honda Motor started building cars in the U.S. to get around legislation limiting imports. And in 1983 I bought my first Honda.
