Default How do you know you spend too much time here

I tend to spend a "bit" of time here. Granny was looking for me earlier as I had not chimed in on a thread.

As it happened I'm under the weather today, so I was napping.

I was feeling better and called Rick at work.

He said he was going to call and check on me, but first he went on line to see if I had been here. At that time, I had not posted, so he figured I was sleeping and he didn't want to disturb me.

Guess he knows me pretty well.

Good ones, Granny.

I hate to admit it, but ALL OF THE ABOVE, seem to apply to me.

First let me say that my computer is in our home office and I go through the office to get to the little garage where the dogs sleep and where the outside fridge is.

For me, it's when I'm on my way to let the dogs out and I think I'll just get the site up real quick, and see what's new, but then it's 25 minutes later, and the dogs are still locked in the garage, and still waiting for breakfast.

..or I'm on my way to the outside fridge, just to get some cheese, and 20 minutes later, the cheese it still sitting on the copy machine and I'm still in my chair.

... or I'm just going to check real quick to see what's new, before I step out to Costco, and I'm writing this reply to Lainey's thread.

I know I'm spending too much time here when I stop to answer the question, "How do you know you spend too much time here"?

I know I spend too much time here because I accidentally signed some of my Christmas cards with my screenname instead of my given name. Thankfully I caught the booboo before I mailed them.

I'll spare the rest of the details.

This was me after a couple of naps:

That sounds like something that I would do.

I am reminded of the lyrics from the classic Gordon Lightfoot song: The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. They can be adapted to include spending too much time here.

"Does anyone know where the love of God goes, when the quick "post" turns minutes to hours". The users all say, at least their not on E-bay, where is would be costing them dollars".
