Default Speaking of Christmas carols

I'll have to go with AC/DC's I Wanna Mistress for Christmas. Oh yeah!

I always thought that a "carol" is a religious song -- a Christmas carol would always mention Christ, God, Angels, or something else Biblical. Anything else is just a Christmas song. Do others make this distinction?

For better or worse, I think most people include 'Jingle Bells', 'Up on the Housetop', 'Deck the Halls', 'The Holly and the Ivy'.....as Christmas Carols.

OTOH, when carols are sung in our CHURCH during Advent and Christmas Eve, these selections are always religious....appropriately Just my .02 but it doesn't bother me.

That's a pretty one! I'd love to hear your playing of anything on that, Christmas carol or not.

While not religious, Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride" has long been a favorite at Christmas time.

Plenty of other artists have recorded it over the years.
