Whatever happened to Kenneth Lay of Enron. He seems to have disappeared. I thought that by now he would have at least been tried yet I almost never hear anything about him or the Enron case. What do you suppose happened?

He's alive, well, living in splendor, and never will he be prosecuted. For he is, you see, entirely too close to the utterly corrupt Commander AWOL Cokespoon er, I mean President Bush.

He goes on trial in January, along with Jeffrey Skilling and former chief accounting officer Richard A. Causey, in a proceeding expected to last four to six months.

I wonder why it's taken so long for the case to come to trial.

If you have good lawyers and you want to keep pushing a trial date out, often you can.

Ken Lay has not been hiding out - in fact he has been going around giving speeches lately:

^ Yes, he has definitely been on the offensive, unlike his co-defendants.

The complexity of this case is supposed to be mind-boggling. It has taken a huge amount of time and effort to unwind the deception.

Kenny Boy wants his trial before Dubya leaves office so he can be given a full pardon after being convicted for destroying the retirement hopes of hundreds of employee pension plans!! Isnt this government grand!

If justice prevails, Kenny Boy will be sent to one of our torture jails in eastern Europe. He and his cronies not only robbed their employees, they robbed all the western states as well. All done without the slightest pang of guilt apparently.

I lump Kenny Boy and his like with those others we call terrorists. He was willing to take down businesses, families, seniors, everyone for his own gain.

Discussing why he was able to do this will quickly get this thrown into the political forum so I'll resist.

I do believe the Governator of CA can indirectly thank Kenny Boy for getting Gray Davis removed though. It was a backlash of the 'energy crisis' created by Enron.

I don't think Kenny Boy can rely on his friends anymore. I'm surprised he hasn't turned up missing.
