A seven day Mexican Riviera cruise -- Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta -- for two, with a suite, on the Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Seas. We leave March 5.

Sounds fun. A nice trip but not too much hassle to get there.

I love cruises...the last one I went on was from San Juan, PR through the Panama Canal to Acapulco. Fun, fun, fun. What a great gift. Enjoy!!

Just how good a boy were you this year? Please post a thread with pics on your return. We've been talking about a cruise the last couple of years but haven't been able to pull the trigger. Have a great trip!

Kathy's Mom gave a $$ check in the mid-4-digits to each of her two daughters; one son-n-law ; and 4 grandchildren. This was a big surprise b/c she is not especially wealthy. She explained "I get tired of paying income tax on that CD...."

This was a nice suprise to my dtr (who will now be able to avoid a loan for the next semester of grad sch) and to my son (just finished u/grad college and starting on 'what now???')

The bittersweet part of this surprise is the realization that Kathy's Mom (at age 92 with health starting to fail) is obviously thinking about that old adage 'you can't take it with you' .....
