With the recently released December data, sales of the S2000 in the USA todate now total 52,551

Are those numbers for 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005, respectively?

Yes. The 1999 were 'titled' as 2000 model year but the data is calendar.

Calendar. Model year numbers are very difficult to come by; I have some but not all.
