Anyone identify the species?
I get a mad mullet once in awhile that will jump into the boat. Fflying fish if there's light on the sail at night can whack you too.
When the video first started I kept waiting for something to swirl under them A mating ritual makes sense.
thanks

From my experience (and I used to fish a lot):
Since they seem to be being pressed up against the bank and not reacting to the light - there is some sort of serious predation going on and herding of this school of fish toward the bank to prevent an easy escape. That would explain the launch behavior of the preyfish. I've seen this with many black bass/true bass species.
Had they pitched almost any topwater lure into the water, they would probably have caught several of the predator fish.
