Does this need a brain unit to work? Or waht is the deal.. Does it work with other alpine decks? I assume you need a dvd player?

Yes. You will nedd headunit which works DVD. That's it.

I'm selling Monitor and bezel. Not the player. You just need player.

You can buy Alpine, pioneer, or JVC any brand headunit work with this.
