No it has the built in CEL fix. I had it on my car for a year with no CEL

why is the 02 bung angeled back so much, mine is right at 90 degrees and yours looks like it is at a 45degree angle

That is of Berk made them. They just recently started to sell them with the 90* CEL fix. The angle has nothing to do with performance. Both work the same.
