Default Wheel Dust Caps

I had some really nice shiny hexagonal shaped dust caps on my wheels and some fecker has nicked them outside the gym.

As John Travolta said in Pulp Fiction "It would have been worth them piching them just for me to catch them" But i didn't !!

I've seen somewhere some nice looking metallic lockable dust caps but can't remember where !!

Any suggestions were I can get some replacements from ?

Cheers Andy

Used to get mine stolen monthly on the MX5 but had a friendly tyre fitter who gave them to me for free! Unfortunately moved away before you ask!

Am sure Helfrauds do some that tighten up with a little spanner type device & you can prob get them off the web even cheaper.

They can still get them off, but if they bleed doing so, you can at least feel some joy from it!

Many years ago I caught a kid trying to unscrew mine. As he bent down I pushed him over using my hand against the side of his head & just stopped short of clipping his ear. He ran off.

Although I can't stand kids & at the time it gave me pleasure to almost thump the little brat, I still have nightmares of him returning with a parent and a plod, and me finishing up being branded a child molester.

That said what's a valve cap worth? - pennies. And why bother with a fancy set a all? I keep some nice ones for when the car is being parked up at special events and car shows, otherwise steel ones ( NOT nasty black plastic I admit ) do fine.

I gave up with them in the end. I quite fancied covering them with the same stuff they use to attract bee's

I use the alloy ones - if you leave them dirty they're less likely to be knicked.

That's funny.
I had three of mine pinched the other night. The only one they left was on the wheel which was closet to the house, and which would have set the security light off.

I've gone back to the normal black ones. At least they won't get a full set off me, theiving gits.
