Default Had to have my car towed

What an eveing went out for a blast stopped off at the local pub for a pint, got back in the car, tried to start it and it turns over but wont start.

AA came out said he had never seen one before and said it must be the immobiliser, I then noticed that the green key light on the dash isn't lighting up when I unlock the car.

Had to have it towed and left on the road outside the house until the morning when I get it towed to the dealer

Please anybody any ideas, before it gets towed again in the morning???

Did you actually have it towed or transported on a flat bed ?

If you've towed it theres a good chance you've also shafted the LSD !!!!

Please tell me you didn't actually have it towed, but in fact flatbedded

Did you try a new key-fob battery?

When low, the battery can provide enough power to unlock the car, but not the immboliser.

Can I ask - if you break down and they say they want to tow do you just sit there and refuse until they get a flatbed and how do you stand with that?

Ste thanks, the green light won't come on but the indicators do, and it turns over (cranks??) but won't fire up?

EDIT: I have noticed under the dash on the drivers side that there is a white electrical connector block hanging down, is this my enemy?
