UPDATE: For those that are coming out, Let's meet at the Beef's at 4:00 PM. It is right on the town square, facing Hwy 301 thru the center of town.

Okay, I know it's a month out but every 1st Sat of the month, Dade City hosts a Classic Hot Rod and Muscle Car show. The next one is Oct 4th and is their special anniversary event. Typically, about 200 cars show but this one is expected to hit 300 cars. Lots of door prizes, usual street vendors with pizza, cotton candy, funnel cakes etc. Also, 50'6-70's music with a DJ in a small town center square around the County Courthouse. Very nice small town setting, family oriented. Pets are on a leash but welcome.

The cars have stepped it up a bit with the quality being as good as you can get for vehicles that are driven to the show. Some trailer them in but the the vast majority are drivers. Lots of cool chopped custom rods, imports (including Pantera, Tigers, TVR's, etc.) and the 40's-50's-60's-70's stock unmolested restoration cars.

Anyway, if anybody wants to make an afternoon of it, we can do a drive through the swails and hills of Pasco & Hernando county earlier in the afternoon. Then, A Beef's is right on the square while we watch the cars line up for the show.

The show ends at 8:00 PM so for those who travel, you still get back to the house at a decent hour. If anyone is interested, post up and we'll try to organize this.

*If anyone has any suggestions like.....A S2KI golf outing early in the morning for the duffers or, a sultry boat ride on the Captain Chip's Boat of Love, or some other way to spank the morning.....POST UP and let's make a day of of it and then rendezvous back at the Group Drive Staging Point. Then, we'll rubberneck, VTEC and pretend that we are all getting rides in the new MillisaMobile (Rob's Wife's Daily Driver). We'll drive until we are in desperate need of refreshment, pull into Beef's, brag about who's got the best of something or another & wait for the real cool cars that bring back back memories of what we used to own, wanted to own or never wanted.

I'd be in... but both FAST and SCCA have autocrosses that weekend...

 

I forgot i'm registered for the fast autocross so i will have to pass on this. Racing is more important. I wish it was another weekend

This is why we live in Florida....Because we have choices. What a great problem to have. Gators game - Bulls game - Cone Killa' game - ..... dosen't matter. This is the beggining of the season to start planning some stuff after 5 months of stifling heat. Who knows, maybe we can even add a late night (9:00 PM start) discount dyno test over at S&R like we used to do in the past. Wow....what a full day that would be ................

Either way, just get out there and do something with other felow S2K'ers. Jam the boards with pics and experiences. We have been way too quiet here over the past 3-4 months. Project docile is over.................

 

If you guys are hanging out in the evening i will meet up with you after the autocross. Should be done by 5pm. My car will be dirty but i will make it out
