Comptech intake owners -- rattling/resonance?
Any other Comptech intake owners have a weird resonance at around 3000rpm? I am trying to pinpoint it. So far I've wedged some thick neoprene between the airbox and the strut tower, and replaced the crushed/worn out foam under the lid with more of the thick neoprene. All my bolts are tight. It's not rubbing against the hood liner.
I have hood struts so that's not the problem.
I believe I've mostly fixed it by placing the thick neoprene between the airbox and body, and the same stuff under the lid.
I've owned Comptech stuff in the past and I really must say I am disappointed with this item. Fitment is poor, design is odd, and it just doesn't impress me as much as their other stuff has.

I have the same noise at when at about 75% throttle at 3500 RPM. I'have shaved and shapped my v2 ice box so much it doesnt touch any part of the body. I have the foam all the way around the CF lid, the top of the box doesn't touch anywhere on the hood, and my hood prop is in the trunk. I still get the noise.
I love my CompTech it looks so sexy, and the top end is great.
I just want the strange noises gone.
(I believe it could the the Velocity stack inside the Icebox....but how do I stop it?)
