Default Tsuchinoko OR K&N FIPK II ?

I am wondering if anyone can tell me which cold intake would SOUND BETTER and give me MORE HP?

S2000 Tsuchinoko Intake System OR My currently installed K&N Generation II FIPK

I have the Tsuchinoko but am hesitant to install it because I would have to cut my hood and my current K&N set up works very well and has a nice note when my silencer is installed in my T1R single exhaust. Without the silencer, my car is very loud and I'm afraid of getting a ticket from the cops. The K&N alone is loud. I have the J's Racing Type S front bumper with the hole in it to draw air for the Tsuchinkoko. I would really like to get rid of my exhaust silencer.

You heard mine Wally, it's a pretty loud un silenced Invidia N1V3. I have K&N as well and love it. A dyno is posted in the NA form that shows a HP gain of about 9.02. What wing do you have?

J's Intake is pretty quite, if you have a loud exhaust you most likely won't even hear it. Even with a silencer in it. Again cutting the hood is a bitch, but not too hard to do. It would also match you bumper setup.

The K&N is a nice intake set up, it has a nice intake sound when you get on the throttle...shows gains.

It really is up to you, both intakes are good, but what exactly do you want? Sound? Looks? etc...

Let me say I have an Invidia V3 dual with 70mm testpipe, and a Password JDM intake without the filter covers and snorkel, and it is WAY louder than my exhaust after Vtec kicks in, unless the top is down.

Keep the K&N and the Tsuchinoko til you get a proper bonnet. Then you can run the Tsuchinoko.

I don't have a problem with cutting the hood. I only want to do it if the change over is worth it. My current set up would be extremely hard to equal or beat.
