Default T1R 70EM Dual w/test pipe....

I've been debating for a while if I should throw a test pipe on the car to go along with this exhaust. The exhaust does sound great, but could use a little more noise. Curious if anyone has the 70EM dual with a test pipe and how the sound is. Also, if you have a test pipe on it and didn't before, what were the biggest differences?

did not notice any difference in power on the butt dyno, but i did notice a slight increase in sound. this exhaust is loud as is so to me a slight increase wasnt that bad.one thing though is that i did get the CEL even with the fix, but i had it on another car and it rally doesnt bother me. some say to try and use two CEL fixers so i may try that eventually. hope this helps

Thanks for the reply

As for the increase in sound... did it get raspy? Did some of the drone go away? In other words, was the difference for the better?

i think so, little bit more "raspy" i guess, not like a rice cannon though. the sound just improved on what it already sounded like. as far as the drone well i still cant figure out what that sound is and yes i have had someone try and explain so i couldnt tell you. i know cruisin in sixth at about 3-4 is deep and loud as $hit high up it sounds great

I put a the asura 70MM HFC cat with this exhaust and it got much louder. The exhaust note is a bit deeper too. I wish it had a little bit less of an effect but oh well. It is basically a test pipe, hardly a core at all. Oh it took 2 CEL fixes for my CEL to turn off.

Thanks for all the replies guys

I went ahead and ordered the Invidia 70mm test pipe w/cel fix. I'll most likely pick up another extender just to make sure.

2007+ have this issue with CEL's, seems it's more sensitive.

Will the car run lean without a tune on AP2's with TP and exhaust? I'm probably picking up a 70mm Invidia TP to mate up with the T1R 70R-EM Dual and Fujita CAI with no tune, but what's your experiences on this?
