Test pipe did pretty good with my stock exhaust still on. The Berk piece is very nice quality.

If you want a lightly used one for pretty cheap PM me.

without the e-manage, you will most likely lose more power than you'll gain overall...with it you'll make power. this is a mid range power combination.

but if you are really concerned with power, pick another exhaust. the hks is just worthless when it comes to hp addition. it's a great looking, great sounding exhaust though.

you'll lose a lot of top end power with this combination if you don't tune it...you'll also be running very, very lean as well which isn't good. but it sounds like you know what you're doing though, so i say go for it. you'll pick up some very nice low to mid range power, and a little more top end power too.

^What?? If he has an emanage I think it would be fair to assume he is going to get it tuned. That combo will definitely net you some good power. Should easily get over 10whp peak once tuned.
I gained 10whp with a spugen exhaust stock cat and K&N FIPK intake and a vafc tune. Gained everywhere else as well. Above 8500 I gained 20whp to redline.
You have an AP2 so won't gain as much with a tune as me "01 did but you will still see nice gains for sure.
Oh and the whole thing about the HKS losing or not making power is just poeple speaking nonsense. Only a couple dynos have been released and both showed the HKS making a few HP. Nothing to show it loses power or anything.
Good luck should be a good set up. Other exhausts could make more power but would have to go with a single and will look worse imo and sound worse and attract a lot more negative attention.

Tuned with what? Need something to tune it with. If you don't use the emanage then you would need to get a vafc or something. Emanage is a better piggy back though as it allows for timing adjustments so if you have it already use that. You can't just tune a stock ecu without a tuning device.

i just mentioned what would happen in both scenarios...didn't say he wasn't going to get tuned, just said this is what happens if you don't.

and i never said the hks exhaust loses power, just said it's worthless if you're adding it for only hp reasons. i've seen dynos where it adds a hp or two and i've seen dynos where it did nothing but severly limit the setup. i'm not talking about online...i'm talking about what i've seen firsthand. i consider both scenarios to be worthless really.

and yes he will lose some top end with this setup as well. no way around it...it's mostly due to the header. it's a midrange header. you'll probably pick up around 5hp at 5-6k untuned and lose somewhere around 10hp at the top end. after tuned, you'll probably end up with around 7-9hp at the same points, and dial that lost top end down to around 4-5hp. ( which isn't even noticeable honestly ). this is just regarding the header, you're numbers should be a little bigger with the other parts as well.

if i could only do one thing out of my entire mod list, i'd go with the e-manage ult. that's how highly i think of this thing.

there's no real neg. about it. you'll pick up some good low to mid range power which helps a lot, and get some good top end too. probably pick up 8-10hp peak, and 6-8 throughout the rest of the powerband on ap2. smooth out the afr's so the car runs better, you can lower vtec a bit with the stock header too to make a little more power.

if you only want to do one thing, do the em-u, if you want to do it all, do the em-u last otherwise you'll spend a bunch of money going back over and over to the tuner.
