Has anyone ordered these or have these on their car? I keep going through these rebuilt ones like crazy. An I can't seem to find anyone who has them in stock. Also the price of new OE ones are only like $100 bucks short of the level 2.9 axles offered by driveshaft shop. An the way they describe these, they are almost indestuctible, atleast for my small N/A setup. Any help would be useful.

far from indestructable . . . they have good customer service, but the CVs wear out very quickly. I went through several sets, and when in warranty they replace the broken CVs. I upgraded to the set with the larger hub, and the hub wore out in 10k miles. A replacement hub from them is around $200. Also, they kept changing the sizes. Sometimes they sent ones that were too short. As it stands now, even with my car lowered there is 0 play on the CVs, which I'm not sure is a good thing. If I didn't have the hubs, I would just buy remanufactured from a local parts store for under $200/piece. Remember, you are never going to break the shaft, we just have to worry about the CVs.

Another gripe, the shafts seem to be off balance.

 

So you think I should just live with what I got, an just replace these w/ another re-man set. I have a feeling that it could also be the shop that is doing the rebuild. I got one set an it seemed like they just put new boots an grease in them an sent them back.

 

Thats what I would do. Everyone is going to have their own opinion however.

Thanks guys, but I just got word from my lil bro that my problem this time is in my Rear end and not really my axles. He said that I got alot of play in the Yoke which is the Pinion part that goes to the final gear. Also got a shitload of play in my axle hubs (output shafts) that go into the pumkin.

Now what I'm wondering is if I were to purchase a new final drive gear like 4.44 would that be stronger than the stock 4.10? Also I've seen that PuddyMod has beefy stuff for the pumkin. Could these fix my problem? An are they going to strengthen my diff? Cuz I got to buy another rear end its going to my my 3rd rear end.

That looks like the old "two foot problem" that is created by driving erratic (too hard) with both feet.

If you are breaking axles and rear ends then you might consider having your driving skills checked. Improper use of the clutch is the main cause of these problems.

I have the 5.9 InlinePro rear end with the DSS axles and driveshaft.

If I had it to do over again, I'd see what Ben (PuddyDad / Puddymod racing) could do instead.
