Default k&n FIPK II

im about to start modding my car and was going to start with the FIPK II from k&n and was wondering if there is a significant change after install. any input would be great, thanks in advance. keith

There was dyno in the N/A section of this forum; that test concluded that there was in fact a HP gain of at least 9hp. As far as feel is concerned this is not enough to feel, but as the member above said your ears will def hear the difference.

idk about you but i kno i can feel a 10 hp diffrence

i noticed a little throttle response but the intake sounds great i dont know about ten horsepower tho.

yeah gained a lot of hp at vtec cross over with 5-6hp at peak rpm...one of the best bangs for the buck and it sounds great

what about just the drop in filter? any gains there?

Nope no gains! maybe better fuel economy is your current filter is "dirty as fuzz." If your just changing the filter, why not gut the box as well?

i have heard of gutting the box, however im not sure what all that includes. is it just grinding it smooth inside?

I felt that the vtec transition was a little smoother... not as noticeable.

It sounds great and the install is painless... oh and it looks great with an AUT cooling plate btw
