Since our filters/boxes are different, do aftermarket air filters designed for the 00-05 fit properly? Note that K&N, AFE, etc. all use the same part number. My only concern would be substantial space for airflow under the filter.

S2ki needs a better search function. I'm sure this has been addressed before!

Unless you guys AP2 boxes are different to UK ones??

The OEM filter has changed shape and the location of the IAT sensor has changed.
Other than that the airboxes are identical on UKDM 99-09

I'm running the same JR cone on my 07 as I did on my 01

 

I have a K&N and it fits fine!

 

The boxes did change from 06+ in the US. This has been covered here, I believe. Try searching.
