Thumbs up HKS HiperMax 3 Question!

I just got these coilovers, and was wondering about the adjusting knobs...They are 30 way adjustable, but you can adjust them more than 30 turns counterclockwise from full tight....

How far can they actually go after 30 clicks, and will they get messed up if I keep turning them counter-clockwise after the 30 clicks?

i think he means you can go >30 soft

i don't think you are supposed to do this. it will ruin the coilover.

oh haha is he saying the coilover is too rough for him at full soft??

yeah dont turn it past 30. you'll want to sell them and get different coilovers if it's too stiff for you

nah, I haven't put them on the car yet. I just got them yesterday and was playing around with them. I thought they would stop clicking counter-clockwise at 30, but they kept going, so I turned them a few more times, but only a few clicks, than stopped cuz I was afraid I'd mess them up.

I PM'd a few people, and they said to just not go past 30 clicks counter-clockwise, so that's what I shall do.

These coilovers have 11/13 spring rates, so it'll be interesting putting them on and seeing how stiff they are. It's OK though, I'm young, I can take it! : )

20 Clicks back from Full Stiff is the starting point for these coils.

On the track, I really didn't see the need to increase more then 3 clicks from that.

I run the rear full soft for when I am on the street, with out the wing.

I am looking at picking up a set also. would these coilovers be much of an upgrade over the CR suspension? I want to pair these with Nitto nt01 100 treadwear tires....the car is supercharged and will spend most of it's time on the track. thanks for any help

i love my hipermax IIIs, but even on full soft you'll feel every bump. it's funny how driving at night on the freeway, cars in front constantly change lanes, thinking i'm high beaming them. the whole car goes up and down as you hit every little bump. on big bumps, doing about 75mph, you'll clear ground. happy hiperMaxing.
