Default Who says three inches is too big?

Seen a lot of recent posts asking if 3inches is too big for an exhuast and that single 70mm are the ones that make the most power.

All conditions the same I dyno'd both and ended up with 4hp peak and 1-2 throughout the powerband. Remember folks, what happens in the header is what affects exhuast flow the most and running bigger is better when it comes to an exhaust.

My 02 Dyno pulls

Here is the best sound clip I could get for the Asura Combo.

9,000 RPM Launch

Go ahead and sticky this

How can you say that?

In the other thread you clearly talk about changing your intake, header, exhaust, AND wheels (of all things). Were these runs even performed on the same day?

*EDIT: Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, and what you mean is "aside from the numerous parts swaps I made, all other things like the number of fans, the temperature, the air density, humidity, etcetera, were all SIMILAR in both runs..."
Either way, I hope you wouldn't just assume you got 2-4 HP because you now have a 3" exhaust, nor would I want people to read it that way.

You are not supposed to read into things that much. Nothing can be a perfect back to back dyno run and I apologize if I don't have the funds or resources to do this for you.

It was just a comparison and it is one I/H/E setup vs another with all thinigs being very similar if not the same

I can appreciate that. I wasn't sure if you were actually trying to claim the bigger exhaust alone made that power. I'd also like to add that I didn't click on the video link until just before posting this.

So stock header and our 3" dual made more than the J's and Amuse combination?

Wait for the Ti systems that are coming shortly. Should have the first one done by the end of the week...

Anyone want to see pics?
