Default Spoon Snorkel or Password JDM Snorkel?

Hi all,
Thinking to purchase a Snorkel or a complete Ram Induction kit from Password JDM.

The Ram Induction kit looks really nice and seems will increase a few HP from mid to top range. However, it's a fairly expensive unit ( Dry Carbon) and i'm not sure if i should purchase it.

Some said this induction kit need cutting from the hood, some said the other way.... what's the go???

If not the induction kit, i'm thinking just the snorkel itself.
is it better to go for Spoon or just password JDM?

Either way, i'm looking to order the cooling plate as well. Hope the coooling plate from passwordJDM will fit the Spoon snorkel if i manage to get one.

THankx in advance.

If you get a cooling plate you wont need the snorkel

I'll chime in here. The complete powerchamber from PW:JDM is probably my most favorite mod I've done. There is a noticable hp gain from it, but nothing amazing. After all, it is just an intake. But the sound that this thing creates is nothing short of amazing.
As far as getting it to fit with no hood cutting, it's all in how much of a contortionist you are. I know some people that just went to cutting their hood, where as mine just barely rubs. I threw some foam on the corners where it touches and that's good enough for the girls I date.
Now as far as the snorkels go, I don't see much of a point to them unless you're on the highway, even then, the advantages seem minimal. Our stock intake is just too well designed for the motor.

If you're looking to add something to show off in the engine bay inexpensively, I say go with a cooling plate that routes air into the intake. Then you can even upgrade to something like a FIPK for some performance.
If you don't mind dropping some coin on a somewhat rare intake that adds power and engine bay bling...go for the PW:JDM.
Hope that helps

That's the thing i can't decide..
For NA cars, very minimal modification will increase big hp gain. By doing the intake and exhaust as well as improving all the suspension/handling wise is the way to go.

Currently i have the Spoon air filter and Spoon N1 exhaust. And i reckon it's time to improve the intake a bit for the NA.

To be honest, i know the powerchamber from PW JDM worth every cents, Dry Carbon and the look of it just dress up the entire engine bay.... However, just not sure if i should invest 1k into that tho...

I know at the end of the day it's my call but it just so hard to make the decision lol...

Oh well... guess i will go for the PW JDM

I dunno, there's just something about opening your hood and seeing this....

Perhaps I should find a way to record some of sounds this thing makes...it's what finally let me know that my money was wisely spent.

I was under the impression the PWJDM was just a pimped up CAI? I think some aero guys here mentioned there won't be any ram effect from speeds less than mach 0.3.

Buuuut I'm not an aero guy, so you can search and read all the crazy discussion that already exists.
