Hey guys,

Just wondering if there is much of a difference in terms of gaings between an AFC Neo and the VAFC or VAFC2?

I just bought this thing to help with the "supposed comptech kit" i was going to buy, but the seller backed out.....So i have decided to install the NEO and have it tuned.

Is this something I can tune myself? Or should I have my installer / tuner do it on a dyno?

With FIPK II, T1R Header, T1R Test Pipe, and T1R 70R EM dual - what would be a "safe" v-tec engagement? Is there any do's and dont's I should be aware of in this area of the tuning?

Also, those who have the AFC NEO and similar supporting mods, what were your gains after the NEO install / tune?

i have a vafc, all it was for was to lean it out a bit before vtec (no boost and it's too fat/rich). didn't really build boost 'til 6 rpm i just left vtec where it was (i lowered it and the butt dyno didn't feel much).

did you use the ESM or did you use the simpler MISSING LINK? i used the missing link and the boomslang harness with the vafc so i wouldn't need to hack the wires up.

 

also, i don't think you can run the esm and the neo at the same time as they both alter the same signal (but don't quote me on that)...
