there's really no advantage to doing that.

you'll have to reset it every couple of weeks after the tune though in order to keep your partial throttle tune.

You should reset right before the tune...that way when you do reset the ecu every couple weeks, you will be back to the same ecu state as when the VAFC was tuned.

Trying to tune part throttle on a VAFC is a lost cause.

Then you don't have to worry about resetting at all.

If you reset the ecu after you get the vafc tuned, you will lose your vafc settings. then you will have to go back and reprogram it with the settings when it was set up.

what do you mean if I pull the ECU fuse with a VAFC in the VAFC loses its settings?

i would think the vafc has it's own internal battery that saves settings and if it doesn't then just write all the settings down just in case. not much too write, probably take only a minute to do.

no...it's exactly the opposite.

the oem ecu compensates for the new afr and eventually overwrites your partial throttle tune. so, in fact, you have to pull the fuse once a week or so in order to keep your partial throttle tune.

one of the reasons i think the vafc is a waste of time. it's cheap yes...but adequate at best.
